Chedly Bouzouaia is a Montreal-born filmmaker of Québécois and Tunisian origins. He made his debut in the world of music videos, where he honed his voice. His artistic identity would be characterized as one that drifts between the weight of reality and the haze of memories and dreams, tracing the slow pulse of time through an intimate dance between the camera and his characters. His work has been recognized internationally, with his music video Snake (2022) earning nominations at the Manchester Film Festival and the HollyShorts Film Festival.
He received both SODEC and CALQ grants for his narrative short film directorial debut, Étrangers, and is currently developing his first feature film.
